That 3 months should be all a candidate really needs to win. Their record, not their rhetoric, is what should precede them. For all the others, we paid their (in most cases Senate) salaries for them to run for president. Palin didn't have all that time to gloss herself up with image consultants to seek the approval of biased, vapid twits like Matthews and Couric or vulgar buffoons like Bill Maher or Jon Stewart. She was too busy running a state, and quite well. She stood up against big oil, took down corruption in her own party, and fought consistently for the best interests of the people she was elected to serve. Before the mainstream media launched its attack, Palin had the highest approval rating of any governor in the country: exceeded 90%.
