Actually I was aware of few of these things on Disneyland, my last cruise there was quite interesting so when I like a specific destination I also want to know more about it. Disney is just great, if I were a parent I would insist in going back there but for now I am interested in experiencing more of this world so this year I am booked for Carnival cruises.

Let's face it, cutting through these days is tough and it takes some chutzpah. In the era of the ad-zapping DVRs, perhaps the biggest risk is not taking one at all. If you are uncomfortable trying to do something fresh, then marketing is probably a bad career choice. Imagine the chutzpah it took to tell the board of a conservative insurance company that their new spokesperson www.geonlineservice.com was a duck? Ten years later that same duck has increased shareholder value by a zillion and made Aflac a household brand. So the next time you are reviewing campaign ideas, keep in mind that one you are certain you could never sell to the CEO might be the campaign that makes you and your company famous.

I've always felt that "It's a Small World" should have some type of marker for each culture, so people will know part of the world they are looking at. last time I was at the park, the european tourists behind me was mumbling "is that from from hawaii? or africa?"

gahh.. now i wanna go back to disney land D:... that was great tho :D! I knew about the name talking thing backwards in that ride(which is btw my FAVORITE) and i thought the plastic house was hilarious XD!

Disneyland was created a little before I was. And living in Southern California all my life, I have been a frequent visitor of Disneyland. I very well remember the A, B, C, D, & E tickets. My hat is off to the creator, Walt Disney, for all joy that he caused. These facts were very interesting and mostly new to me. Thank you.

I loved Disneyland but only got to visit twice. The only thing that bothers me about it is everything is so so overpriced. Like a throw away camera going for $20 when you can get one at the neighborhood drug store in your town for $5.
They need to chill with the pricing or less people will be going.

did you know if it's your birthday and you go to the sheriff's station they give you a sticker to wear throughout the day? the staff of the theme park then harass you and embarrass you throughout the day. too much fun.

I didn't know that about walt disney not being frozen, always thought he was. He's buried in the same place as my grandparents.

My uncle started out in 1956 as a Jungle Cruise boat tour guide and went on to the board of Directors. I remember his office when he was a Supervisor as being above a saloon in Frontierland. I lived just a mile from the park and my Uncle arranged for me to always have books of tickets, so my friends and I actually went to the park as you would the local city park. We used to play hide and seek on Tom Sawyers Island. My uncle had arranged for me to play the part of Tom Sawyer at the Island one summer, I looked just like him, red hair and freckles. The job was to sit at the dock and greet people going to the island and other promotionals. But my parents divorced that May and I had to move back east with my Mother. Ruined my chance at stardom.....lol
Ron Domingiez was a close friend of his throughout their careers at Disney. He told me that when Disney bought the Domingiez family groves, part of the sales agreement was that family members had eternal free passes and that any family member who wished could get a job at the park.

I work at an Accounting firm near Disney Land and the firm has a membership to club 33. I have gotten to eat there a few times and its really nice. Once you are inside the club a glass elevator takes you to the 2nd story dinning room. For lunch there is usually a buffet. Dinner is fairly pricey I think the minimum per person is $50. If you eat dinner you can watch the fireworks from the balcony which looks out onto the dock for the Colombia. Its really cool.

I could be wrong but many of these seem to be lifted from the Mouse Tales books referenced in one of the items. If you are interested in behind the scenes stories and trivia about the Disney parks I highly recommend buying either Mouse Tales or the sequel or the newest book Realityland by the same author. A title search on amazon or most online book retailers should turn them up. They hold a whole slew of interesting stories similar to the ones in this list.
