Thanks for the nice pics! These holes are not just amazing, but some of them are really terrifying! I was mostly impressed by Diavik Mine in Canada as “the deepest excavated depression below sea-level on earth”.

Those big-assholes are so amazing. It's too bad that too many homes were diminished by it. Surely those homeowners were helped by the government or they forced to buy a new house through home loans.

Those holes are quite a scene! However, some of them are toxic, containing heavy metals and acid that could ultimately contaminate the water. So the depths of the holes are not only the feature that is scary, but the toxic compounds are also a threat.

Dang, those are crazy. They're so big the ARE kind of scary. I'm really interested to know what kind of marine life lives in the Great Blue Hole. I was expecting there'd be at least one meteor crater on here though.
