Has anyone had any success keeping salary out of the conversation in the last 10 years? No major company worth their salt will keep the conversation going without a salary number.
It's "Tell us your salary, or you will no longer be considered." It's been like this for the past 4 jobs I have had. When are these super helpful interview websites going to catch up?

Oh! Thanks for the useful information on passing the interview! The most disturbing question for me is: "Tell me a little about yourself". It's so hard not to answer: " I'm awesome, and I deserve to get a fantastic job!" And it's true, isn't it?! Everybody thinks so.

This is a good start, but not nearly enough to be prepared for an interview. Also, these days, you really need to have practiced answering behavioral interview questions. Answering interview questions effectively is the single biggest thing that will get you to the next round. If you don't do this well, you will not even have a chance.
